From a tiny seed this group has grown
And spread its wings world wide.
How could those who dreamed have ever known
That 10 years on we would stand side by side?
This group has seen many changes,
Of laughter and love and tears,
Support and strength and courage
And an easing of many fears.
We have celebrated many things together
Of love and life and birth,
We have watched with anxious concern
Our sisters all round the earth.
We have heard wedding bells and baby cries
And tried to comfort those who mourn.
We have shared anxious days and nights
As we waited for the dawn.
We share recipes and funny thoughts,
News items and issues of great concern,
We respect each others culture
As the pages of life we turn.
Our name is Women With Integrity
And caring we are indeed!
Trying so hard to comfort those
Who bring to us their need.
Join together with happy hearts
And celebrate with style
The fact that we are “Women With Integrity”
As we travel each difficult mile.
Join hands and hearts together
All around our world ~
Let’s hope that we may soon see
Freedom’s sweet flag unfurled.
